Friendship first
Before there was a website or a single roasted bean, there was a friendship—Michael and Petri, bonded over coffee and a shared frustration: Why does great coffee have to feel so… exclusive?
The problem we saw
We saw extraordinary coffees treated like an exclusive secret. Beautiful origins hidden behind meaningless labels. Bags on supermarket shelves calling themselves “specialty,” even though the beans had been sitting there for months. An industry that sometimes forgot the joy, the simplicity and the people behind it all.
We Believed Coffee Could Be Different
That belief became Camino. Coffee that’s traceable, transparent and welcoming—where exceptional quality doesn’t come with a side of pretension.
Camino Means “Path”
- The path a bean takes from seedling to cup
- The path that farmers walk as they care for their land
- The path we’ve walked together as friends
- The path we’re now building with our community
This is the path we follow, and we’re grateful you’re walking it with us.
Our values
At Camino Coffee, we believe that exceptional coffee begins with clarity in how it tastes, how it’s sourced and how it’s shared. Transparency is at the heart of everything we do; we want you to know exactly where your coffee comes from, who grew it and how it was produced.
These values shape every step of our path, from the farms we choose to the way we roast. They define who we are, and the kind of coffee company we strive to be.
We value fairness, which means paying farmers honest, stable prices that reflect their craftsmanship and secure their future. Quality can only exist when the people behind the coffee are supported, respected and able to grow with us.
Sustainability guides every decision we make. We partner only with farms that protect forests, water and wildlife, working with nature rather than against it. Good coffee should strengthen ecosystems, not strain them.
We believe in accessibility. High-end coffee shouldn’t feel exclusive or overwhelming. Our goal is to make world-class coffees approachable, enjoyable and easy to understand — without sacrificing integrity or depth.
