Farm Profile

The story

Finca El Conacaste is more than a coffee farm; it is a natural sanctuary where agriculture and conservation have existed side by side for nearly three decades. Since 1997, more than 250 acres have been reforested with cypress and pine, creating a living forest that has become part of the finca’s identity and heritage. This forest protects the soil, purifies the air and provides the foundation for a healthy ecosystem that surrounds the coffee plants.

The area is defined by its rich biodiversity: birdsong accompanies every harvest, a waterfall runs through the heart of the forest, and countless species of wildlife live around the plantations. One of the most iconic residents is the coati, a curious mountain dweller that frequently wanders near the coffee trees. The finca protects its plants without pushing wildlife away corn is even placed outside the plots so animals and agriculture can coexist peacefully.

This balance between production and preservation is the essence of El Conacaste. The coffee grows in complete harmony with the mountain environment, nourished by clean water flowing through the forest and sheltered by natural shade. Each harvest reflects the unique terroir of the Trifinio region and the finca’s dedication to a sustainable future.

For Camino Coffee, Finca El Conacaste is a special partner: a place where coffee is not only cultivated, but nurtured as part of a living, protected ecosystem.
