Roasted locally in Utrecht.

Seventy percent Brazil Pedra Preta builds the base: cocoa and a creamy body. Thirty percent Java El Conacaste adds caramel, jasmine and a light citrus note.

That makes this blend a little more lively than Brazil on its own, while still full enough for cappuccinos, flat whites and your bean-to-cup machine.

Coffee among the trees

Brazil Pedra Preta comes from Fazenda Pedra Preta in Careaçu, Brazil. Eduardo Ferreira de Sousa developed Tropicália, a regenerative agroforestry system. The coffee grows among trees and other crops, rather than in one large field planted only with coffee.

Wild coati in the forest beside the coffee plants at the El Concaste farm, El Salvador

Coffee that shares its space with coatis

Wild coatis live on the farm: curious animals that love ripe coffee cherries. Rather than chase them away, the farmers built fences around the coffee plots and leave maize outside the fences. The coatis still visit, and the coffee stays safe.

Our story

It started with a frustration.

Camino started with three friends who felt good coffee was too often made complicated, distant and anonymous.

Michael, Petri and Daan had had enough of that.

FAQ

Questions?

Can't find your question? Send us a message.

What if the coffee isn't to my taste?

Doesn't the coffee taste the way you hoped? Let us know within 30 days and you'll get your money back. Rather try something else? We're happy to help you find a coffee that suits you better.

How long does shipping take and what does it cost?

Orders within the Netherlands are usually delivered within 1–3 business days. Shipping costs €4.95, and orders over €30 ship for free. As soon as your package ships, you'll receive a tracking link to follow your delivery.

I'm not a coffee expert. Can I make great coffee at home?

Absolutely! Our coffee tastes great whatever you brew it with. Whether it's a fully automatic machine like a Jura, a traditional portafilter espresso machine, or something in between. Use fresh beans, follow your machine's instructions and you're good to go. Good coffee doesn't have to be complicated.

Why is specialty coffee more expensive than supermarket coffee?

We pay farmers fairly for their work and only use beans that meet specialty coffee standards. Mass-market coffee comes from huge commodity stockpiles where origin and quality get lost. Every Camino bean is traceable to specific farms and farmers.

Where do your coffee beans come from?

We work directly with growers in carefully selected regions and build relationships that guarantee fair pay. Check the product pages to meet the people behind your cup of coffee and see exactly where each coffee comes from.

Why does your coffee range change?

Because coffee is seasonal, just like the best produce at a farmers' market. That way you always taste coffee at its best, and every season brings new origins, new flavours and new farmers.
